Management Skills - Three Simple People Skills

July 31st, 2007

Three simple people management skills to go!

Appreciate Others Efforts

People try hard to do their best. Start with that premise and you will be Making a Difference wherever you go. It’s often not the girl-on-the-end-of-the-phone’s fault - she’s probably having a tough day herself. It’s not the harassed shop assistant’s fault. Seek to understand.

Say ‘Thank You’ Often and Easily

WOW!! This is one winning strategy. There is a website somewhere that says the biggest difference you can make to anyone, anytime, is to say ‘Thank You’. (By-the-way, it makes you feel great too!)

See Positives In Everyone

There are positives in everyone. It’s not about them, it’s about you. The most aggressive and challenging person has energy! There are true positives in everyone. The best leaders find it and leverage it - for everyone’s benefit.

Making a Difference In Your Business - Three Steps To Get You Going

July 31st, 2007

Focus on some key points to build your business quickly and effectively, just by knowing better how to handle your people.

Here are three key areas you want to look at - in yourself…

Listen Well

It will come as no surprise, but the way you consciously, deeply listen to what others have to say to you is vital. Ask secondary questions.

Recognize and Take Opportunities

Any and every interaction is an opportunity for this. Make the most of every chance you have for making a difference to someone - try once a day to start with!

Build Positive Relationships

Whatever the stresses and strains you are under, take a deep breath when you are going to talk with someone. Your personal state makes a difference - and they notice. ‘respond’ rather than ‘react’ - there’s a difference.

Learn Forex Online Currency Trading

July 31st, 2007

How to learn forex online currency trading. Here
are a few tips to keep in mind when searching for a forex trading course

1. The Forex Education Program Itself

You want to make an assessment of the Forex
education program’s approach to learning and ensure it matches your style. Some
people can learn by reading a book (very few!), while other require a more
structured hand holding approach. Some like a classroom environment, while
others want to learn live and online.

Make sure you have access to live instructors,
this will be your life-line when things get tough. Bottom line; If it resonates
with you, then it most likely will fit and you will learn.

How To Make Money Trading Forex

July 31st, 2007

Wondering how to make money trading forex? Many
new traders often fail to make money trading forex because they are
lured by the easy prospects of making millions of dollars and are confused over
the hundreds of indicators and forex financial terms.

With tons of data and indicators constantly changing,
it can be difficult for new traders to grasp the underlying trends and that
will lead to poor trading decisions.

In general, the forex market is easier to
predict in the long term than in the short term. However, most new traders
often lose sight of the big picture and instead concentrate on recent upward
and downward trends. They get too caught up with the latest news and focus on
the 1 hour and 4 hours charts believing easy money is made by seizing the right
opportunity. That in my view is more like gambling and not investing.

Though the forex market is volatile, very rarely
do currencies devalue to the point it becomes worthless, therefore if you have
deep financial standing, you can easily wait for the currency to rebounce and
make a profit.

Inquire Into

July 31st, 2007

Are you one of those people like me who get sick and tired
of information sites that don’t have the information you want or they just lead
you around in circles?

It’s not really that easy to find good information on
the net what with so many sites around and having to search endless lists
without ever getting anywhere. I always seem to get some information but not
the information that I really require that was until I found a great site
called inquire into.

If you require information on just about anything then I
think it would be in your best interests just to inquire into it, its just that
the information they have there is so easy to access and the have everything
from A- Z in the way of information and you don’t have to muck around looking
in all the wrong places for the wrong information. It’s all there so don’t
waste your precious time.

My time like yours
is a valuable asset and I can thoroughly endorse induire into as a great time
saving not time wasting site. So if you value your time and you are more
interested in finding great information than being led on a wild goose chase
then go and do yourself a big favour and check out inquireinto I did and I have
never looked back.

Even after all I have said you may just be thinking oh it’s
just another person writing about a site. Well I am just a person like you that
wants to get information quickly and easily so if you like the sound of a great
site, give it a go or you can just flounder around on the net trying to find
information and being linked to this site or that with endless irrelevant pop
ups.

Don’t take my word for it go and have a look at
inquireinto yourself and there’s no need to thank me

Eliminate Procrastination in Your Window Cleaning Business…

July 31st, 2007

I’ve been wanting to put together some information for quite some
time pertaining to procrastination and how it can effect our window cleaning businesses.
It’s probably one of the biggest things I see that can effect a
person’s business in such a negative way.

For some people, procrastination is not just a word, it is a way of
life. But what exactly is procrastination? How do you recognize whether
or not you have a problem with it? How does a person go about
understanding whether the negative experiences that they are having in
life is the result of procrastinating?

First let’s take a look at the word “procrastination”. It is created
from the combination of the Latin words “pro” and “cras” which means
“for tomorrow”. When a person procrastinates, they are making a
conscious decision to put off ’til some undetermined future time
something that they have to do now. They may decide to keep putting it
off indefinitely or wait until the very last minute to begin the job.
Either way, life becomes stressful because of these choices.

If you are a member of the procrastination club, then you more than
likely have a big list of responsibilities that you have not gotten
around to or at the very least have made it a habit of beginning
certain jobs and activities at the last minute, in which the damage is
probably already done.

Controlling Fear will allow your Window Washing Business to truly succeed.

July 31st, 2007

One of the most powerful and uncomfortable emotions that anyone can
experience is fear. It’s only natural to have a certain amount of
trepidation or fear in your window cleaning business, especially if you’re just starting
out, but if it’s not harnessed and channelled properly, I have seen it
literally cripple window washing businesses.

Fear disguises itself in the form of folks procrastinating, or being
“busy”. This kind of “busy” results in pushing papers around, sitting in front of their computer doing “stuff”, researching every little thing about the business
or their potential customers, too much time spent practicing on
windows, buying too many window washing supplies, etc. etc.

Obviously some of the above certainly needs to be done to set the
stage for a successful business, but I’ve seen these activities
stretch into months for some window washers. At some point, it’s time
to pull away from the computer, stop the researching, stop the buying
of supplies, lay down the practice squeegee, and “get out there” to
stir the pot.

A good example of this comes from a guy I use to speak with all the
time on the phone. Every time I spoke to him, it seemed he had a new
piece of equipment added to his collection, a new marketing piece
designed, or something else he needed to buy, instead of any news
about his actual marketing efforts.

He even sent me a bunch of photographs in the mail showing me his
great “stuff”. I saw the beautiful business signage on his van. I saw
the many different ladders. I saw enough window washing supplies to
supply 3 window washing companies. And I saw photos that he took of
houses in his target market that were ideal for his services. (cont’d at newsletter)

Made in ???

July 24th, 2007

Now you don’t really know where anything is manufactured. The “made in country” tag doesn’t mean anything except some of the pieces were put together there or the final packaging was used.

Case in point, fencing masks. The shells are made in China and then assembled in Germany with the other components. The Uhlmann FIE Mask is still “Made in Germany” as the assembly and finishing are done there.
